What A Merry Christmas We Had!

We had a wonderful Christmas!! We headed down on Christmas Eve and spent a few days with Riley’s family and then a few days with mine. It was so much fun watching Gavin open his very first Christmas presents and all the grandparents made sure he got spoiled! Actually they made sure we all got spoiled! My favorite present was a picture of Christ by Greg Olsen that Riley gave me. I would love to put some pictures on here of Gavin opening his presents but I probably won’t go get a CD of pictures made for a while and I didn’t want to wait that long.
We had so much fun spending time with family and friends! I saw so many acts of service and charity that really made the Christmas spirit come to life. Looking back I wish I would have found a few more ways to serve those around me. We have truly been blessed and the Lord has been so mindful of us this year. I am so grateful for my Savior, his perfect and unending love, and the gospel that is so full of light and truth.

Top Five Christmas Holiday Moments:

5-Coming home to at least two feet of snow and then getting stuck as Riley tried to pull into the driveway.
4- Seeing old friends at a mission homecoming and a mission farewell.
3- Going to a surprisingly spiritual and uplifting wedding dinner for our friends Brittany and Buddy.
2- Watching Gavin be so serious and business-like about tearing apart and eating all the wrapping paper in sight.
1-Spending time with the people we love the most!!

Pre-Holiday Slump

So I have discovered that I have absolutely nothing interesting to say on this blog. And I have this sick need to check everyday to see if anyone on my blog list has a new post, and I hope this subsides soon because I have wasted so much time its ridiculous. Hopefully visiting family for Christmas will liven things up a little and I won't have so much time on my hands. Well here are a few things that are going on:

1. I have had to switch Gavin to the "toddler" side of his bathtub since he demands on sitting upright. He somehow splashes more on this side and after his baths the counters, floor, and I are absoutely soaked.
2. Since I have quit nursing Gavin I have a nice donut of pudge forming around my middle since he is not eating up all those calories for me. Curse my sweet tooth.
3. A lady I visit teach is under the impression that I am married to my next door neighbor's husband because he came with me to help her load some boxes into their moving truck and then she saw us together again that night because he had to give me a ride to the church. The best part is that he was carrying Gavin in for me.
4. Riley is doing clinicals required for a CNA class he is taking and he told me about how some old man was trying to talk one of the nurses into snuggling with him in bed to warm him up. What a stud.

Well, as you can clearly see my life is full of nonstop excitement. Part of me can't wait for my nursing program to start because I will have more to do, more friends, and a little more purpose to my life. At the same time I am dreading the fact that I won't be there to be with Gavin all day and I'm afraid of what I will miss. I guess it will all work out, I just get so nervous. Happy Holidays!

Just Enjoying the Holidays

Well, thanks to Adrianne for helping me set up our blog! I've been so excited to get this going so I can show off all our cute pictures of Gavin. We had photos taken when he was 3 months old and we finally got a CD of them so here are a few. They were taken three months ago so he has a little more hair now, but they are just so cute. Riley might kill me for putting the flower one on here but I love it!
Not too much is going on for us right now. Riley is taking a class at Bridgerland and getting ready to apply to nursing programs for next fall. I am getting ready to start Bridgerland's LPN program in February. Right now we are just enjoying the holidays and love watching Gavin grow. He is growing so fast! He has two teeth, can sit up all by himself, and loves to try new foods. Life is great for the Worwood family!!
